Each Synth Section has a Volume Envelope to control the Volume of the
sound over time.
The first and last points of the Envelope are always locked at zero. To
move the points simply select and drag, as you drag left/right you will
notice that the overall envelope will change to reflect the change in
time. You can see the statistics for the current section and overall
time in the Information panel as you move the point. Using CTRL or
SHIFT will give fine control in varying degrees when dragging the
points. Clicking on a section will cycle through all available wave
shapes which are as follows:
- Stages - How many stages the envelope has maximum of 32.
- Sustain Stage - The sustain point in the envelope, you can
see which it is on the envelope as it has a Solid Box
- Repeat - The Envelope can repeat from a stage selected here
or set to OFF for non repeating in which case the envelope stops at the
Sustain stage until release.
- Shape - The shape of the currently selected segment (which
is highlighted by a dark blue background).
Each Synth has a Filter Range slider and a Zone Select.
The filter Range limits the upper and lower frequencies of the Filter
Cutoff, very useful for limiting the lower frequency to something in
the audible range, especially good for creating Sub Bass! Darg and
select each end to the disired position, CTRL is fine control, SHIFT
moves the range, and double clicking resets to Full. You can also use
the left/right arrows to move each end by small amounts.
The Zone determines which area of the keyboard each synth will play.
Again drag each end to the desired note (listed in the Info display as
you change it). You can also use the randomize to the right, and set
default to the left to reset to Full.
